Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator

How is this possible when I'm the only administrator of my system??? This one is one of the most irritating errors in Windows OS. This is highly likely that some virus is blocking your Task Manager by enabling the DisableTaskMgr policy in the system registry.

Microsoft Article provides a solution to solve this problem. But that solution is little cumbersome. Specially amateurs have difficulties in playing with System Registry. Following is another simple solution to enable your Task Manager. This solution worked for me. Hope it works for you too. Do post your comments if you try this solution irrespective of whether it works for you or not. Good Luck.

Go to Start -> Run -> copy and paste the following and press OK.

REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

Play Free Live TV or YouTube without interruption on PC using a GPRS connection

Live TV is one of the features that mobile companies are using to attract customers for 3G connection in India. But the much hyped 3G service is still out of the reach of common people in the country because of its poor implementation and high cost. So there is still some time before GPRS is completely replaced by 3G internet. Playing Live TV on PC or mobile is something that many still think is possible only with a 3G connection. Also I have found many YouTube lovers who if possible, would prefer to watch lower quality videos than waiting for them to load. If you feel the same, this trick is surely going to impress you. This trick is for you if you are a low speed internet (e.g. GPRS) user but still want to play YouTube videos or LIVE TV Channels without interrupted playback. In the next few lines you are about to discover how the same can be done on PC or mobile phones using broadband connection or even a low speed dial up connection (e.g. GPRS connection) in two simple steps.

It might seem surprising on first reading, but yes..It is possible to play free live TV or YouTube Videos without buffering or interrupted playback problems using your GPRS connection. Depending upon your choice you can do so on your Mobile Phone* (if it supports live streaming) or PC. One suggestion before going for "how to do it" - activate a plan which gives you some free data usage otherwise you may end up creating big holes in your pocket.

  • For PC:
STEP 1: Install the following software on your system.
                          1. RealPlayer (V10.5 Gold or higher).
                          2. QuickTime 7
RealPlayer is the actual player and QuickTime player provides the Plug-In needed to play streaming videos from live rtsp (Real Time Streaming Protocol) links.

STEP 2: There is no STEP 2.. You're done. All you need now is to visit the links given at the end of this post and enjoy Live TV on your PC or smoothly streaming YouTube videos. The only thing to compromise with being the quality, which I believe most of the low speed internet users don't care for. And if you feel that quality is something you cannot compromise with, I'll still suggest you to give this trick a try. You won't lose anything but there is something to gain for sure.

  • For Mobile*:
STEP 1: Ask your Mobile service provider for GPRS settings. Some telecom companies (e.g. Vodafone) provide a separate setting for streaming videos. You need to get them and activate as default setting on your phone.

STEP 2: Navigate to m.youtube.com from you mobile browser and start enjoying streaming YouTube Videos on you mobile. Live TV links for mobile phone are also given at the end of this post. You can visit those links from your mobile browser to watch live TV on your phone.
*Here Mobile means phones which support live streaming. If you are not sure about whether your phone supports live streaming or not, just Google for it. And for any further help feel free to mail me.

This was all about how to watch Live TV and YouTube Videos on your PC or mobile using 2G internet connection (GPRS). Do comment if the trick works for you. Even if it doesn't post the error you are receiving. I'm trying my best to provide the working live Streaming TV channel links of the popular Indian channels. Post your comments for links which don't work for you. Watch this space for more PC Tips, Tricks & Fun.
